This is my country's second TIR Assembly Center certified by the International Road Transport Union (IRU), marking Xinjiang's progress in the field of cross-border logistics, forming a coordinated and complementary development pattern of railway transportation and international road transportation.

TIR is a global cross-border freight clearance system based on United Nations conventions. It improves customs clearance efficiency and promotes the facilitation and security of multilateral trade and international transportation by simplifying customs clearance procedures. It covers highways, railways, inland rivers, sea transportation, etc. Multimodal transport, covering more than 70 contracting parties around the world. my country officially joined TIR in 2016.

Si Junjiang, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Xinjiang International Land Port Group, said that after the TIR assembly center is put into operation, it will provide enterprises with more flexible and diverse transportation solutions and improve the comprehensive carrying capacity of cross-border logistics. More and more international transportation vehicles will be gathered in Urumqi, and the scale of road transportation will continue to expand.

Xinjiang is the core area of the Belt and Road Initiative. In May this year, the country's first IRU-certified TIR assembly center was launched in Kashgar.
