Wang Yi said that this year marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Norway. With the joint efforts of both sides, exchanges between the two countries in various fields have accelerated and increased efficiency, and practical cooperation has achieved important results. Since the beginning of this year, bilateral economic and trade volume has increased significantly, demonstrating strong resilience and huge potential. China is willing to consolidate political mutual trust with Norway, deepen mutually beneficial cooperation, and start the next exciting 70 years of bilateral relations.

Wang Yi said that the Third Plenary Session of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China focused on further comprehensively deepening reforms, identified more than 300 reform tasks, and demonstrated its firm determination to carry out reforms to the end. China's construction of a new higher-level open economic system will provide new impetus for Chinese-style modernization. Norway companies are welcome to continue to deepen the Chinese market and share the dividends of China's development. China is willing to strengthen green transformation cooperation with Norway and work together to safeguard economic globalization and the multilateral trading system.

Eide said that he was very happy to visit China successfully not long ago. Norway attaches great importance to relations with China and is willing to strengthen communication with China and prepare for the next stage of high-level exchanges. Norway pursues a one-China policy, and this position will not change. It understands that no country can allow division. Norway and China's economies are highly complementary and do not approve of imposing tariffs on electric vehicles. They are willing to strengthen cooperation with China in gas transformation and other areas to create a green partner.

The two sides also exchanged views on the Ukraine crisis and the Palestinian issue. Wang Yi elaborated on China's principled position. Eide said that the purposes and principles of the United Nations Charter should be effectively observed, and Norway is willing to work with China to promote peace. Norway supports Palestinian statehood and appreciates China's promotion of reconciliation among Palestinian factions.
